Supplemental Reference Set IV — Ownership, Gift, Enthronement, and Completion
ownership | received rule | presence | enthronement | Spirit | glory | completion | final order
14.1 The Giver Remains the Owner and Source#
Several statements gathered during the study can be read together without making them identical: the earth belongs to YHWH; the land belongs to YHWH; Levi can receive YHWH Himself as portion; the Spirit is given; glory is given; authority is given; the Name is placed upon God’s people; and restored servants eventually reign beneath the throne of God and of the Lamb. The recurring pattern is not creaturely possession apart from God. It is received life, received place, received identity, received vocation, and received inheritance from the One who remains the Source.
Psalm 24:1
The earth is the LORD's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
Leviticus 25:23
The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land is mine; for ye are strangers and sojourners with me.
Exodus 19:5–6
Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation.
Numbers 18:20
And the LORD spake unto Aaron, Thou shalt have no inheritance in their land, neither shalt thou have any part among them: I am thy part and thine inheritance among the children of Israel.
The land is therefore not unreal or disposable. It is a real inheritance under divine ownership. Yet Scripture also demonstrates that land cannot exhaust the inheritance category. God can give possession while remaining Owner; He can give His Presence while remaining God; He can give the Spirit while remaining the Source of life; He can give glory while remaining the One from whom glory comes.

14.2 Received Rule versus Seized Rule#
The creation story itself supplies an important distinction for every later discussion of dominion. Humanity is created to rule, but the rule is received. Genesis 3 then presents the opposite movement: the image-bearer reaches beyond a given boundary and grasps at a godlike independence. The problem is not that rule, wisdom, or glory are evil. The problem is the creature attempting to become the source rather than receiving from God.
Genesis 1:26–28
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion... So God created man in his own image... And God blessed them... Be fruitful, and multiply... and have dominion.
Genesis 3:5–6
For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food... she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
Psalm 8:4–6
What is man, that thou art mindful of him? ... For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:
Hebrews 2:8–9
Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet... But now we see not yet all things put under him. But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour...
RECEIVED IMAGE / RULE → AUTONOMOUS GRASP → LOSS / DEATH → THE FAITHFUL MAN → RESTORED RULE UNDER GOD
Source trail: Israel — The Wounded-and-Prevailing Name, Master Revision Packet 7, pp. 3–4. The prior study distinguishes delegated rule from the forbidden grasp at autonomous authority.
14.3 “My Presence Is Mine” — A Framing Observation#
“My Presence is Mine” is not a quotation from Scripture. It is a compact framing observation for a recurring biblical reality: God determines how His Presence is approached, shared, and enjoyed. Human beings do not seize holy Presence as an independent possession. God promises His Presence, goes with His people, gives His Spirit, makes His abode, and finally dwells openly with the restored creation.
Exodus 33:14–16
And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest. And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence. For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.
John 14:16–17, 20, 23
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever... for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. ... At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. ... If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
Revelation 21:3, 22
Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them... And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
This helps preserve the difference between possession and Presence. A field can be assigned as a possession. God’s Presence is personal. The inheritance therefore reaches beyond having something from God toward communion with God Himself. The priestly statement “I am thy part” becomes especially significant because the Giver places Himself at the center of the portion without ceasing to be the Lord who gives it.
14.4 Death, Resurrection, Ascension, Enthronement, and the Spirit#
The main study concentrated on death, resurrection, priesthood, and inheritance. Another sequence deserves separate preservation because it joins resurrection to the present gift of the Spirit and the present reign of the exalted Son. The apostles do not treat resurrection as an isolated reversal of death. The risen Jesus is exalted, enthroned, and presented as the One from whom the promised Spirit is poured out.
Psalm 110:1, 4
The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. ... The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.
John 7:37–39
If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me... out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
Acts 2:32–36
This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear... Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus... both Lord and Christ.
Hebrews 10:12–13
But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
DEATH → RESURRECTION → EXALTATION / ENTHRONEMENT → SPIRIT POURED OUT → WITNESS / FORMATION → FINAL SUBJECTION OF ENEMIES
Source trail: Psalm 110 / Acts 2 / Hebrews form the controlling chain. The YHWH / Eternal Son / Melchizedek discovery workspace also preserved this sequence as a future-study line, but Scripture remains the proof.
14.5 Glory, Name, Authority, and Reign Are Given#
The study repeatedly reached categories that can be misunderstood if “sharing” is heard as “becoming the source.” Scripture uses the language of gift and grant. The Son receives authority; believers receive glory from the Son; the Name is placed upon God’s people; overcoming servants receive delegated rule; and the Lord God gives the final light. The grammar of gift protects the Creator-creature distinction while preserving the reality of what is shared.
Matthew 28:18
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
John 17:22–23
And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one...
Numbers 6:27
And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel; and I will bless them.
Revelation 3:21
To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
Revelation 22:4–5
And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads... for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
The final picture therefore displays real participation without independent deity. The servants truly bear the Name, truly see the Face, truly receive light, and truly reign. Yet the Name is His, the light is given by God, the throne remains the throne of God and of the Lamb, and the reign remains received vocation beneath that throne.

14.6 Present Pledge and Future Completion#
Indwelling and inheritance are already real, but Scripture does not allow present participation to swallow future resurrection and completion. The Spirit is called a seal and earnest. Believers have the firstfruits of the Spirit while still waiting for the redemption of the body. The children of God are children now while John says the completed condition has not yet appeared. This already/not-yet structure protects the study from collapsing promise into either mere future hope or complete present realization.
Ephesians 1:13–14
In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
Romans 8:23
And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
1 John 3:2
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
1 Corinthians 15:20–23
But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept... But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.
SPIRIT GIVEN NOW → SEAL / EARNEST / FIRSTFRUITS → FORMATION NOW → RESURRECTION / BODY REDEMPTION / LIKENESS STILL AHEAD
Source trail: Israel — The Wounded-and-Prevailing Name, Master Revision Packet 7, “The Spirit of Adoption and the Earnest of the Inheritance”; Two Goats transfer work and Packet 9 preserve the same present/future distinction.
14.7 Final Judgment and New Creation under the Throne#
The main study closed with Revelation 21–22 because it is the convergence of inheritance, dwelling, Temple, life, Face, Name, service, and reign. The preceding judgment scenes are worth preserving as a supplemental process line because the restored creation is not merely added beside the old hostile order. Scripture describes the defeat and exclusion of the enemies that oppose God’s holy dwelling.
1 Corinthians 15:24–28
Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death... And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
Revelation 20:11–15
And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it... And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Revelation 21:1–4
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth... And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them... And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death...
Revelation 22:1–5
And he shewed me a pure river of water of life... proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb... And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads... and they shall reign for ever and ever.
14.8 Process Lines Preserved for Future Study#
The following lines are retained as compact future-study references. They are not presented as one rigid chronology. Some are chronological; others are thematic or canonical developments. Their value is that each preserves a distinct process without forcing all processes into a single ladder.
OWNERSHIP / GIFT: GOD OWNS → GOD APPOINTS → GOD GIVES → THE CREATURE RECEIVES → THE CREATURE SERVES / REFLECTS
HUMAN VOCATION: IMAGE → BLESSING → FRUITFULNESS → RECEIVED DOMINION → FALL / SELF-RULE → CONFORMITY TO THE SON → SERVICE / REIGN
PRIEST-KING: DEATH → RESURRECTION → ASCENSION / EXALTATION → RIGHT-HAND ENTHRONEMENT → SPIRIT POURED OUT → FINAL SUBJECTION OF ENEMIES
PRESENCE: BROUGHT UNTO GOD → ACCESS → HOUSEHOLD → HABITATION → SPIRIT WITHIN → GOD DWELLING WITH HUMANITY
PORTION: NO MEROS WITH CHRIST WITHOUT HIS WASHING → YHWH AS PRIESTLY PORTION → SHARE IN INHERITANCE → ETERNAL INHERITANCE → MEROS IN RESURRECTION / FINAL DESTINY
PRESENT / FUTURE: SPIRIT AS SEAL / EARNEST → FORMATION NOW → BODY REDEMPTION → LIKENESS / GLORY → FACE / NAME → EVERLASTING REIGN
