• Exhibit D — Drink Offering Protocols

• Closing Bridge — What the Exhibits Have Established So Far

Exhibit A — Melchizedek and the Priest-King Pattern#

Large Passage References — Reference Only

• Genesis 14:18–20 — Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of God Most High, bread, wine, blessing, and tithes.

• Psalm 110:1–4 — right-hand enthronement and priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.

• Hebrews 5:5–10 — Christ called as Son and priest after the order of Melchizedek.

• Hebrews 6:19–20 — Jesus entered within the veil as forerunner and High Priest forever.

• Hebrews 7:1–28 — Melchizedek’s priesthood expounded and fulfilled in Christ.

Short Anchor Passages#

“And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.” *Genesis 14:18*

“The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.” *Psalm 110:4*

“Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.” *Hebrews 6:20*

Abram’s Victory -> Melchizedek Appears -> King + Priest -> Bread + Wine -> Blessing -> Psalm 110 -> Hebrews -> Christ

Bridge Language for the Main Study#

Melchizedek’s act is simple enough for any reader to see: a priest-king brings bread and wine after victory and blesses Abram. But Scripture does not leave Melchizedek as a passing detail. Psalm 110 joins Melchizedek priesthood to right-hand enthronement, and Hebrews reveals Jesus as the true and final High Priest after that order. Therefore the bread-and-wine table is worth tracing, not because Genesis 14 explains everything at once, but because later Scripture makes the priest-king pattern unmistakable.

Exhibit B — Meal/Grain Offering Protocols#

Large Passage References — Reference Only

• Leviticus 2:1–16 — fine flour, oil, frankincense, salt covenant, memorial portion, and priestly remainder.

• Leviticus 6:14–23 — law of the meal offering; Aaron and his sons eat the remainder in the holy place.

• Numbers 15:1–16 — grain offering and drink offering attached to burnt offerings and sacrifices.

• Numbers 28–29 — daily, Sabbath, monthly, and feast offerings with grain and drink components.

Short Anchor Passages#

“His offering shall be of fine flour; and he shall pour oil upon it, and put frankincense thereon.” *Leviticus 2:1*

“And he shall bring it to Aaron’s sons the priests: and he shall take thereout his handful of the flour thereof, and of the oil thereof, with all the frankincense thereof; and the priest shall burn the memorial of it upon the altar.” *Leviticus 2:2*

“And the remnant of the meat offering shall be Aaron’s and his sons’: it is a thing most holy of the offerings of the LORD made by fire.” *Leviticus 2:3*

“And every oblation of thy meat offering shalt thou season with salt; neither shalt thou suffer the salt of the covenant of thy God to be lacking from thy meat offering.” *Leviticus 2:13*

Seed-Bearing Grain -> Water in Bread-Making -> Oil / Anointing -> Frankincense / Fragrance -> Salt Covenant -> Memorial -> Priestly Food -> Presence

Ingredient Witnesses#

• Fine flour / grain — seed-bearing provision of the earth brought near to God.

• Water — not stated as the focus of Leviticus 2, but bread naturally carries water in its making. This remains an implicit mechanical witness, not an explicit protocol claim.

• Oil — anointing and Spirit resonance; the offering is not dry human provision but provision joined with oil.

• Frankincense — fragrance, memorial, priestly worship, and ascent before YHWH.

• Salt — the salt of the covenant; preservation, permanence, and covenant witness.

• Priestly portion — the remainder belongs to Aaron and his sons as most holy food.

Bridge Language for the Main Study#

The meal/grain offering should not be flattened into the peace offering. But it should also not be treated as meaningless ritual. It is provision brought near to God with oil, frankincense, covenant salt, memorial, and priestly food. It belongs to the worship-world of nearness, presence, priestly handling, and acceptable approach. That is why the bread side of Melchizedek’s table can be explored carefully as provision brought near by the priest-king, later fulfilled when Christ gives His body as the true bread.

Exhibit C — Frankincense, Fragrance, Memorial, and Prayer-Worship Witness#

Large Passage References — Reference Only

• Leviticus 2:1–16 — frankincense placed with the meal offering; included in the memorial burned to YHWH.

• Leviticus 24:5–9 — pure frankincense placed with the bread of the Presence for a memorial.

• Exodus 30:34–38 — frankincense included in the holy incense formula.

• Psalm 141:2 — prayer set before YHWH as incense.

• Luke 1:8–10 — priestly incense service and the people praying outside.

• Revelation 5:8 and Revelation 8:3–4 — incense associated with the prayers of saints.

Short Anchor Passages#

“And he shall put pure frankincense upon each row, that it may be on the bread for a memorial, even an offering made by fire unto the LORD.” *Leviticus 24:7*

“Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.” *Psalm 141:2*

“Golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.” *Revelation 5:8*

“And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God.” *Revelation 8:4*

Frankincense -> Memorial -> Fragrance -> Priestly Worship -> Incense Field -> Prayer Association -> Ascent Before God

Bridge Language for the Main Study#

The bread side remains simple, but it is not shallow. Fine flour, oil, frankincense, salt, and priestly portion are all named in the protocol. If water is the natural making element, oil the anointing/Spirit witness, and salt the covenant witness, then frankincense adds memorial, fragrance, and priestly worship before YHWH. The offering remains simple enough for an ordinary reader to see, but deep enough for the careful reader to search the height, width, breadth, and depth of God’s wisdom.

Exhibit D — Drink Offering Protocols#

Large Passage References — Reference Only

• Exodus 29:38–46 — daily lambs with flour, oil, and wine for a drink offering; YHWH meets and dwells among Israel.

• Leviticus 23:9–13 — firstfruits offering with grain, oil, and wine.

• Numbers 15:1–16 — wine as a drink offering with burnt offering or sacrifice.

• Numbers 28–29 — repeated grain and drink offering patterns throughout appointed offerings.

• Philippians 2:12–18 — Paul speaks of being poured out upon the sacrifice and service of faith.

• 2 Timothy 4:6–8 — Paul ready to be poured out as his departure approaches.

Short Anchor Passages#

“And the fourth part of an hin of wine for a drink offering shalt thou prepare with the burnt offering or sacrifice.” *Numbers 15:5*

“And with the one lamb a tenth deal of flour mingled with the fourth part of an hin of beaten oil; and the fourth part of an hin of wine for a drink offering.” *Exodus 29:40*

“Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all.” *Philippians 2:17*

“For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.” *2 Timothy 4:6*

Sacrifice -> Wine Poured Out -> Altar Service -> Completion Pattern -> Paul Poured Out -> Witness Under Christ

Bridge Language for the Main Study#

The drink offering should not be overclaimed, but it should not be ignored. Scripture explicitly presents wine as poured out with sacrifice. This gives the wine side of the bread-and-wine pattern an altar-service context. When Jesus identifies the cup with His blood of the covenant, and when Paul later describes his life as being poured out, the reader can see a faithful pattern: Christ’s blood is the covenant and atonement; the believer’s life is poured out in witness because Christ’s sacrifice is complete.

Closing Bridge — What the Exhibits Have Established So Far#

These first four exhibits establish the first layer of legal support. They do not finish the study, but they keep the main claims grounded.

Priest-King Table -> Provision Brought Near -> Fragrant Memorial -> Covenant Salt -> Wine Poured Out -> Christ the Fulfillment

The next exhibit installment should continue with Exhibit E — Salt Covenant, Exhibit F — Peace, Fellowship, and Eating Before YHWH, Exhibit G — John 6 and Believing, and possibly Exhibit H — Water, Spirit, and New Life, depending on length.
